A Warm up Leg Yield Exercise
Riding on a 20 metre large circle, spiral in slowly to a small circle. Keeping your horse flexed to the inside, put your weight forward over your inside hip and push your horse out from the inside leg into your outside rein contact.
You should travel evenly out to the original circle, always on the turn and with the horse stepping forward and sideways continually so that his hind legs arrive on the large circle at the same time as the front legs.
Do not forget to keep your outside rein contact and you can ride this in walk and trot.
