    News for the week

    Admin Dressage, Training

First things first, very well done to Mrs Ainsworth for her 2nd and 4th at Patchetts last week end, especially knowing how tired she was but of course Max was a star as well. Wow! Well done to Kelly (Mrs Ford!) for riding so well and being so successful at the Sunshine Tour Championships. It just shows how hard work pays off.

The thought of the week has been that our horses benefit from us as riders, learning to sit without tension so that they are able to move freely forward. It is our job to allow this to happen and then enhance the paces by helping with balance through the aids. So keep the hands forward towards the mouth, and sit up in the hips towards the hands. It should feel that you sit up on the saddle and not get buried into the bottom of it. If it helps, hold onto the mane with your left hand and feel the difference in the paces.
